Tumbling Skills to be Worked
Child doesn't need to have all skills listed, but they are skills that should be worked to build up for what is coming in the next level. After each class should have one warm up line drill that covers the previous levels. Example of line drills to get to the next level are after each list.
Tumble 2
- Handstand block off snap downs
- Handstand with 1 hop
- Handstand role down
- Round-off (point, step, & power with rebounds)
- Jump full turn
- Round-off rebound to pit or barrel
- Handstand to flat-belly on mat
*Handstand to backbend on low block; kick over (only feet touch block)
**Backbend kick over
- Standing backbend onto two 8 inchers
*Standing backbend to one 8 incher
**Standing backbend on floor
All encompassing line drill: Jump full turn, Handstand role down step out, Round-off rebound, Standing backbend kickover
